Cashew Nuts Exporting: Vietnam Maintains Top 1 Position
In the first 10 months of 2024, Vietnam exported 613.5 thousand tons of processed cashew nuts. Cashew nuts exporting worth 3.6 billion USD. It’s up 18.7% in volume and 22.1% in value over the same period in 2023. With this result, the Vietnamese cashew industry has maintained the leading position in the world in exporting cashew nuts for many consecutive years. Also affirmed its brand reputation in the international market.
Cashew Nuts exporting is at the top 1
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the current value of cashew exports is equal to the results of the whole year 2023. Therefore, the Vietnamese cashew industry has continued to maintain its 1st position in the world in exporting processed cashew nuts for nearly two decades. The average export price of cashew nuts in the first 10 months of 2024 is estimated at 5,867 USD/ton. It’s up 2.9% over the same period in 2023.
Exports increased in all markets
In the first 10 months of 2024, the export value of cashew nuts increased in all 15 main markets. The strongest increase in the United Arab Emirates market with an increase of 58.3%. The lowest increase in the Japanese market with an increase of 1.1%.
Vietnam’s cashew nut exports reached a record value in 2021, with 3.63 billion USD. But by 2022 it had decreased to 3.08 billion USD. In 2023, cashew exports increased again with 3.6 billion USD. This is also the result of 10 months of 2024. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, cashew exports in 2024 will set a record, with a figure of 4.3-4.5 billion USD.
