To ensure the dried mango meets quality standards for export and maintains food safety, packaging must be handled with care. Due to the delicate texture and high susceptibility to moisture and contamination, dried mango should be packed using suitable bags such as PE bags, Kraft paper bags, and polypropylene (PP) woven bags.

Materials for Dried Mango Packaging:

• Inner Liner: A food-grade polyethylene (PE) liner is placed inside the main bag to keep the product fresh and prevent moisture absorption.

• Main Bag: Typically crafted from durable Kraft paper combined with woven polypropylene (PP) bags, offering strong protection and support.

• Outer Bag: An additional PP woven bag serves as the outermost layer to protect the product during transportation and handling.

Important Packaging Considerations:

• Moisture Content: Maintaining a low moisture content (ideally around 3% maximum) in dried mango is critical to avoid spoilage. Proper packaging plays a vital role in preserving this low moisture level throughout storage and transit.

• Net Weight: Common packaging sizes include 250g, 500g zip bags, 5kg PP bags, and final cartons weighing 20kg. The choice depends on buyer requirements and shipping conditions.

• Sealing: Bags must be tightly sealed to prevent moisture and contaminants from entering. Typical sealing methods include heat sealing and stitching with moisture-resistant threads.
