Packing

  • Fresh Ginger with Skin:

    • Mesh Bags: For good air circulation and moisture control, Vietnamese packers often use mesh bags made from breathable materials like jute or polyethylene.
    • Inner Liners: In some cases, an inner plastic liner might be used within the mesh bag to provide an extra layer of protection against moisture.
  • Washed and Peeled Ginger (Optional):

    • Vacuum Sealing: For peeled ginger, exporters may use vacuum-sealed bags to remove air and significantly slow down spoilage. This method helps preserve freshness and moisture content.
  • Size Considerations:
Packing also considers ginger size. Large ginger roots might be packed individually or in smaller mesh bags within a larger sack, while smaller ones can be packed together in larger mesh bags
