The Vietnamese market has a total of 33 different grades of cashew nuts, but only 26 grades are commonly traded. Based on shape, size and color, cashew nuts will be classified as follows:

What is WW240 cashew nuts grade?
WW240 cashew nuts are large, white whole cashews and weigh from 220 – 240 nuts/pound.
The length size of each WW240 cashew nut will range from 26 – 27mm and has a width of about 17mm. Therefore, WW240 cashew is known popularly as Premium Large Nuts.
WW240 cashews have a rich and addictive flavor so they are used in many recipes such as making cashew milk, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts, sweet cashew soup, etc.
What is WW320 cashew nuts grade?
WW320 cashew nuts are white, whole cashew nuts and have from 300 – 320 nuts/pound. This cashew nut can be considered a standard that is commonly and widely grown.
Compared with WW240 cashews, WW320 cashews will be slightly smaller. The length of each nut is about 23 – 24mm and the width is 15mm.
WW320 cashews can be used in making many products such as dried cashews, honey-soaked cashews, garlic-burnt cashews, etc.
What is WW450 cashew nuts grade?
WW450 cashew nuts (White Whole 450) are white, whole cashews and this type only has 400 – 450 nuts/pound.
The size of WW450 cashews does not differ too much from the size of WW320 cashews. The length of each WW450 cashew nut is about 22mm and the width is 13mm.
Just like WW320 cashews, WW450 cashews are very popular for use in producing cashew snacks.
What is the difference between cashew W240, W320 and W450?
The most basic and obvious difference between these three grades of cashews is how big they are. From cashew W240 and W320 to WW450, respectively, the sizes of the three grades will gradually decrease from large to small. Therefore, the weight of these three grades of cashew nuts will also be different.
In the cashew nut classification system, the larger the nut, the more nutrients it will contain, so the flavor will be richer and have more nutrition. Because of that, large-sized cashews like WW240 have great value and are considered as Premium Large Nuts.
However, WW320 cashew nuts and WW450 cashew nuts are also very popular because the size is just slightly different from WW240. The price is also more economical than the premium WW240 cashew nuts.
